We are excited to announce our latest auction, Music Support’s Music Icons with four incredible prizes on offer donated by four of the greatest rock acts of all time to raise funds to help us continue our essential efforts in helping our peers who work in music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction.

The funds raised from this auction will contribute towards Music Support’s core services, including our peer-led confidential Helpline that saw a 60% increase in volume of calls during the Global Pandemic.

The team at Music Support empower our peers to look after the wellbeing of their colleagues (and themselves) through training in Mental Health First Aid and Addiction & Recovery to prevent them reaching crisis point but, if required, our confidential Helpline, managed by industry peers with lived experience, is available Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm on 0800 030 6789. We offer a non-judgmental listening ear service through to referrals to expert clinicians and care providers for everything from mental health and addiction assessments to therapy and rehab.

Music Support’s Music Icons auction features a ‘Best of British’ lineup, with truly unique collectors’ pieces that are an absolute must for any diehard music fans:

COLDPLAY FENDER SQUIER GUITAR – SIGNED

A superb gateway into the time-honored Fender family, this Squier Affinity Series Telecaster is perfect for any aspiring guitar hero and has been signed by all four members of Coldplay, the most successful band of the 21st century. Of their donation, the band said:

“The music industry can present a very specific set of mental health and addiction challenges which, like many artists, we know all too well. Music Supports provides life-changing help and expert guidance for anyone struggling with these issues. We are proud to support this crucial charity by donating this guitar, signed by all of us, to their Music Icons auction.”

TOPPER HEADON OF THE CLASH SIGNED SNARE DRUM

This brass pearl drum is one of the exceptional Topper Headon’s favourite drums, used at the last gig he ever played in Canterbury. Hailed by The Clash as a vital part of their success, Topper’s technical prowess emphasised a simple bass-snare up-down beat with his drumming on ‘Train in Vain’ characterised as one of the most important and distinctive beats in rock music. We’re very grateful to Topper for recording this special message for us.

IRON MAIDEN SIGNED FENDER STRATOCASTER GUITAR

The ink is barely dry on this stunning strat as all six members of heavy metal titans, Iron Maiden, signed it just before their blistering headline set at Download festival on 11th June 2022.

The inspiring sound of a Stratocaster in one of the foundations of Fender, with this particular guitar chosen for its similarity to Dave Murray’s signature model.

Of their donation, Iron Maiden said:

“We’re happy to donate this guitar, signed by us all backstage at Download festival, to Music Support to help raise funds and awareness for their hard work in supporting those who work in music and live events affected by mental ill-health and addiction challenges.”

THE WHO SIGNED FENDER STRATOCASTER GUITAR

This stunning Strat was signed by Rock royalty Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend of The Who, especially for our Music Icons auction in March 2022. It is versatile to handle any style of music and it’s the perfect platform for creating your own sound.

The Who are one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century and Pete’s feedback and power chord guitar is legendary, making this prize even more spectacular.
