By the industry, for the industry

Music Support is a registered charity founded in April 2016 by people from within the UK music industry.

We provide help and support for those who work in UK music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction.

We facilitate education and learning via workshops and training to individuals and organisations in the industry so they may be better equipped in the areas of awareness, early intervention and prevention.

What We Do

By the industry for the industry

Our mission at Music Support is to make sure that nobody in the UK music and live events industries is left to be affected alone with mental ill-health or addiction via our support services, and to facilitate prevention and earlier intervention through education, training and workshops.

Why Music Support?

I enjoy being involved with Music Support because it allows for greater understanding of the issues people face within the sector, and trains you to a standard that allows you to be of help. Their core services are a critical support to so many. As a peer-led charity, they’re pioneering for change for the health and longevity of the UK music industry.  Why wouldn’t you want to be a part of that?

Kel

Journalist & Live Music PR

Mental Health within the music industry is a topic that is thankfully being discussed more openly in recent times, but still has distinct developments to be made. I’ve found that Music Support are instrumental in driving conversations around mental health and addiction and I’m proud to be a part of the volunteer team that engages with the wider music industry to ensure that support is there for those who need it.

From the moment I heard about Music Support I knew I wanted to be a part of it and offer my help however I could. I believe it’s a truly invaluable service to the music industry, one that will evolve as awareness of the charity increases within the industry.
