Music Support opens applications for its Mental Health First Aid and Addiction & Recovery workshops, thanks to partners Stagehand and Backup Tech
Music Support is delighted to announce the next round of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and Addiction & Recovery Awareness workshops, made possible through the generous support of partners, Stage Hand and Backup Tech.
The tailored workshops are designed specifically for those working in the UK music and live events industries, providing essential tools and know-how to recognise, understand and support those experiencing mental ill-health or substance-use challenges.
Mental Health First Aid training, delivered by licensed therapists, empowers participants to spot the signs of mental distress and offer appropriate initial support. The Addiction & Recovery Awareness sessions explore the realities of addiction, the science of recovery, and guidance on how to create a safer, more compassionate industry.
Thanks to the ongoing generosity of Stage Hand and Backup Tech, we are able to offer 80 places on our Mental Health First Aid workshop and a further 60 spots on our Addiction & Recovery workshop. These are fully funded for industry professionals who meet the following criteria. You must be:
- Self-employed
- Working full-time in a freelance capacity as crew/production personnel (which could range from Rigging and Catering to Production Assistant and Tour Manager) or in a touring role (having worked on at least one tour).
- Aged 18+ and work in UK.
Details of the upcoming sessions and information on how to register are available HERE.
Together, we’re building a healthier, more compassionate community, where no one has to struggle alone.
