By the industry, for the industry
Music Support was founded in 2016 by a group of music industry professionals who had each experienced their own challenges with mental health and addiction. They came together with a shared belief that no one in music should have to face those challenges alone.
We’re here for anyone working in the UK music industry, in any role. Whether you work on stage, behind the scenes, on the road, in the studio, the office, on a festival site or in the boardroom, you’re part of the industry and part of our community.
Our team understands the unique realities of a career in the music industry because they’ve lived them too — giving us the insight, empathy and understanding to provide support that truly meets people where they are.

Our Vision & Mission
A compassionate and supportive music industry for all.
To support anyone in the music industry experiencing mental health, drug and alcohol use and wellbeing challenges, and their affected others, through prevention and intervention.
Our Values
Prioritising empathy and understanding in all interactions.
Boldly confronting stigma and shame surrounding substance use, addiction and mental health challenges.
Uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds to support each other and promote collective wellbeing within the music industry.
Our Commitments
Music Support is committed to being an actively anti-racist organisation, not merely a non-racist one. This means we do not consider the absence of overt discrimination to be sufficient. We commit to identifying and challenging racist structures, behaviours and outcomes wherever we find them — in our own organisation, in our programmes, and in our influence across the wider industry, and we apply this standard to our trustees, staff and volunteers.
Music Support has a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment, intimidation and sexual harassment. We are committed to being a safe and supportive environment for all, where bullying or harassment in any form by or towards volunteers or staff is unacceptable. Music Support takes every concern seriously, no matter who reports it, or who’s being reported.
